During Thailand biggest flood, many problems have occurred but people are still helping out and supporting each other. Universities in Thailand are helping out by the ideas of inventing reusable things for flood crisis, such as using water bottles with hard cardboard for temporally boat as transportation.

When people are trap in a flooded community their electricity will be cut out and lack of food supply. Some people have to swim in a 1meter water to go out of their area to buy food for their family, we all know that the flood water are very dirty and they contain diseases and bacteria, so the Thai government and Jular University had invented a waterproof jump suit for wearing in the flood water. I think that this idea is great because many people need to walk in the dirty water, which are 1meters so it is about the adult chest, which is quite deep. This waterproof suit will protect you from diseases or small poison animals that come with the flood and also, it can be use over and over again.

Thailand Flood situation

During this time, Thailand had been affected by flood and lack of food supply. I had been one of the victims in this situation, but luckily my family and me had move out a few days before the flood had reached our house. At first we were prepared for the flood and didn’t think that we have to leave the house because the water will not be so much it will leak into the village. Anyway my mom start to buy sandbags, water pumps and other food supply that we needed. After that a few days the area around my house were updated to be emergency evacuated area, so we decided to lock down the house and leave.

Water level around my house during the first stage of the flood was around 1meter high, which was definitely more than me and my family thought it would be. My family first evacuated to our house at Khao yai because my mom need time to think about what to do the after the flood to make our life back to normal as soon as possible. We stay there about a week then I got bored because there was nothing to do and the internet was very slow so I can't really contact some of my friends. My mom decided to move back to Bangkok but we still can’t go back to the house so we are now staying at a hotel around Pattanakan. This flood is the biggest flood that occur in Thailand in 70 years and I feel a bit sorry for the new president, Ms.Yingluck, to just came in and already faced one of the most biggest problem Thailand ever have. This flood affected many major industrials and companies along they way down to Bangkok, and after the flood, if the government does not recover industrials, agriculture or SME as soon as possible the financial problems will follow because there will be lack of income for the country.

Many people are affected by this flood crisis, and also one of Thailand historic and oldest city was massively damaged. Ayuttaya is recognized internationally as a UNESCO world heritage site and is sometimes called Venice of the East, is now flooded in 1-3meters of water. I hope that the flood situation will soon be better and hope that it will not cause anymore-massive damages.
